peterpan, you are correct. the overall trend is moving up.
the market will need to take into account of the 14 billions dollars deal with the NBN post the bill passed the parlarment. It will reflect in price over time. JP Morgan mentioned 88 cents value for each share for the 9 Billions dollars. We should also expect rating agencies to rerate Telstra after the bill.
Only thing we do not know is when will North Korea drop a nuclear bomb to south Korean overnight. Then US step in and then China join the war. Then our share values would drop like a rock along with the miners. Just for our amusement.
