They found the lead contamination was historic and caused by lead paint. Extensive remediation occurred. The school is now lead free and the children are safe. In relation to lead in the environment, repeated mass water and blood lead level testing of the community by Laverty pathology and Western Sydney University found no lead contamination in tanks, streams or humans.
