    Hi JandJ...You know a bit about the old 4x4s. I bought my troopie in 2012 and it's set up as a pop top camper. I have done numerous outback trips and round Australia and Kimberley adventures. It's just about bullet proof and I have helped others out in more modern vehicles. When I bought it, I deliberately bought an old one that has no electronics because when you're in say Innaminka and you have a problem, a mechanic will always be able to help you out pretty quickly. But now a lot of the newer 4x4s need replacement parts etc. I even was able to sort out my own issues a few times and I always carry a couple of wheel bearings and other sundry bits just in case. It's what everybody wants nowadays...lol

    I paid $13,500 for it all fitted out and camping gear and lots of stuff thrown in. Since Covid I have been approached numerous times at fuel outlets etc about selling it. I've been offered $20,000 several times. It's given me a lot of pleasure and great memories and despite not having done a trip for ages, I still love having it in my garage. When I jump into it I immediately get excited because I feel like I'm on holiday.
