they patrolled their fence line. Why would they leave an open border with a group, with their own elected leadership that vows the destruction of Israel open for free passage. Given you continually suggested that just maybe Israel had engineered or allowed passage into Israel for the October 7 attacks surely you’d be consistent enough to acknowledge that patrolling their border made sense.
and btw if Palestine had only accepted the UN proposal to establish a Palestinian state in 1947. instead of violently opposing it Israel accepted that was part of the deal. Palestine did not seek peace then and never has done except for the curious role of Arafat
