Hedge funds currently sit near to their all time highest short position on palladium.
They have also been adding gradually to their long position but their net position is nonetheless close to all time highs.
Last week saw them lower their net short position slightly.
Between now and midnight EST we will see them once again finalise their weekly reportable positions.
The volatility created by this resulted in a price movement of +$20 last Tuesday between 5 and midnight.
Lets see what happens tonight for a clue - the CFTC will release data for this on Friday/Saturday.
