after a week and a half you are calling it a failure ??
it takes time just to transfer troops
read between the lines ....there'll be months (at least ) of russia trying to retake Kursk .....the attacking will require more men than the defending and they won't retake the land anywhre near as easily as Ukraine took it ......they'll be bled for that .
now the equation of supply of russ troops vs casualties is still in the balance looking forward and far too early to call ....except for dilletantes
