It sharpens the debate wehn we stop using euphemisms and talking around the issue.

The guys like @Glug hold this view that it would be "illegitimate would be getting an abortion because you planned to go on holiday and wanted to fit into your bikini.”

"Abortion" as a word, defuses all the emotion and reason attached to the act. It IS the act of killing a human being. For them, of course, that is made easier by using the word and then of course refusing to accept the baby is indeed a human being

Once you do that...once you start to use real words and connect those words with the acts...one should be able to move to a far more morally defensible position.

Ie...the question then becomes...boiled down to its constituent parts.."Under what conditions are we or should we be allowed to take...to end a human life.?

Think about it...in many maybe most countries the State doesn't have the right to end ANY human life regardless of the heinous act that person may have committed or what unenduring pain and agony they are suffering from. Nope...cant do it. Sanctity of life and all that

Yet that is NEVER a debate we hear from the pro-abortion lobby?

Thats because they refuse to acknowledge it IS a human life.

    To do so...sharpens the mind
