It would present an opportunity for Talga to remind the market of what a strategic project means and the benefits the company would receive if selected, so it's a possibility.

The municipality’s comments on the detailed plan are also due at the end of August. This will be negative, but is one more obstacle out of the way and what I believe is the final step before the Ministry of Rural Affairs steps in. With Sweden's summer holidays ending, we can expect the government to soon follow with a planning order for the municipality, accompanied by comments similar to those provided by the SGU, emphasising the national interest and the project's strategic importance for Europe.

As if the writing wasn't on the wall already, this will provide Talga with an early endorsement from the government, possibly well before strategic project selection in early December.
