It will be interesting to see whether we apply for any of the LEU funding on offer from the DOE which I'm sure will come with lots of strings attached. I was suprised when we passed on the HALEU funding earlier this year and now won't be suprised if they pass on this opportunity too.
Silex keeps mentioning in their annoucments another $100M on offer for new innovative technologies which makes me think that's what they are after.
I don't know whether applications are open for that money too but its been said that money will be available this year too.
Does anyone know whether we can apply for both sources of funding?
I hate to think we pass on the LEU funding then find ourselves competing for that $100M with LIST because the DOE may favour them over us given LIST is represented as the only true US owned and developed laser technology.
What do others think?
