back in the past DV was taken as 'normal'. few reported their problems and even fewer were investigated by police, and even less were recorded in stats.
today police say the same as they used to say in the 60/70s when this was first discussed in Aus, that they do more DV calls than reports of any other crime.
"Mens Behaviour Change' is pretty sexist, but as most alleged/identified perpetrators are men, and we blokes having a habit of shutting up about it, certainly there is a need for men to discuss this. but imo women need to be part of this too. not only do we men need to listen and accept women's points but there are women perpetrators and antagonists as well.
communication is the suggested answer. free and open discussion without rancour or political divisions. (lets be honest, both parties have dodged this matter and caused many problems for too long).
