G'day Ironman, (or is it Ironwoman?) and fellow punters,

UBS Is tipping a $1.41 annual dividend, given we received $1.08 half year dividend, they are tipping a $0.33 final dividend. I don't agree, but I always like to factor in worst case scenarios into predictive, possibility equations.

Obviously this figure is significantly lower than the punters' predictions here.

Since the inception of Fortescue, the "expert" analysts and advisers of local stockbrokers and the giant titans of the international stock broker industry, such as Goldman Sachs et al have been talkin down our little Aussie battler. Well, guess what? To date the prophets of doom have been revealed to be hopeless duds! Laws of probability dictate that occasionally they'll fluke a dumb luck win.

Yoomans have gotta have the humility to acknowledge we don't have the ability to predict the future. There's too many imponderables, will a shooting war erupt as China continues its bullying behaviour in Philippino territorial waters? When will the next pandemic be? When will the next quantum leap of green hydrogen cost reducing technology breakthrough appear? And so on and so on.....Who knows?

Remember Donald Rumsfeld's "Known Unknowns, Unknown Unknowns...etc"... Donald was mocked at the time, but was smarter than given credit for!

That's why I reckon predictions are an exercise in futility. The only way Yoomans can interact with the future is to do ya best to shape it. The best example of that I know is Mr T. Forrest! Go for it Twiggy, ya freakin champion!
