I left Aus on September 15 and will return on September 17. Have just arrived in New York and will see some of the sights this afternoon. Made possible by LTR and CXO.
Since arriving in Miami a couple of weeks ago I've noticed a few things.
1. Probably 1 car in 15 in Florida is a Tesla. 1 in 100 in Tenesee, Alabama and Kentucky. Since getting on the road from Washington to New York, I estimate 1 in 30.
2. This lot are not that green. I see no recycling. Most hotels supply plastic utensils and paper plates. Everything is throwaway.
3. Paid US$3.97/gallon for super petrol (93 grade) and have abused the hire car and paid as little as US$2.75 for regular (87 grade) Fuel is cheap when you convert it back to litres. Cigarettes are cheap and you see a lot more people smoking than you do in Australia.
4. This lot quote you a price for anything you buy. When it comes to paying for it, they add between 6 and 20%.
