great post sugadante - and those after hours trades were well spotted
though i will make one observation - assuming these actually are Undisclosed trades - (a call in with the ASX could confirm this) - then yes, a minimum of some 2.4 million shares were involved, and likely sold by equally large smart money players able to provide the volumes sought by the buyers
but you went on to provide one point that does not necessarily follow:
"I would certainly suggest that the smart money is loading up for the long haul on lynas corporation."
- how would you or any other person know the intentions of the buyer(s)?
- was it one buyer or many?
- does this buyer or perhaps buyers intend to use their holdings for lending out to short sellers?
- does this buyer or perhaps buyers intend to use their holdings for very active daily trading, in which case they would be about to introduce further volatility and swings?
... too many questions no body can answer except those who actually purchased - and they could change their minds at the drop of a hat...
but your post has otherwise provided some excellent food for thought
