Although I appreciate and understand your valid societal explanations/theories, Parsifal, I believe that you're overthinking it - and perhaps underthinking the animal/instinct aspects
Yes you don’t discount my “valid theories” but grammatically when you start with “although”, name me personally and then add your “but” of my view by using the word “you” , anyone not wedded to the belief that what they wrote should be read as a generalised reference to people overthinking would not just be forgiven, but be correct in reading it as I did
if you wanted to say that in general people over think them say it. If you want to acknowledge that you don’t discount the complexities of culture and upbringing then say that but don’t expect me to read into something you wrote that is not there
