IMO Slovakia & Hungary is in the same bind due to the
damaging impact of Western sanctions on Russia (source of cheap oil and gas)
that we would experience should the USA bung Russian type sanctions on China
and if Aus went along with that.
This is a classic case of economically shooting oneself in the foot
in order to garner security from the USA which may not be delivered later
when needed!
The question is: Why support US led economic sanctions on Russia
when as a member of NATO both Hungry's and Slovakia's national
security is protected under NATO and that is not diminished by
either country not supporting the US led sanctions on Russia.
I guess this is why Trump mooted(mouted) that he would advise
Russia or at least stand by if Russia attacked a European NATO
member that did not allocate at least 2% of its GDP to military
and support NATO accordingly! The assumption here is that
the USA rules NATO.
