Day traders' weekend lounge August 23 - 25, page-43

My approach on ones like FPH are in the newer way I’ve been looking at and started trading the last few weeks by looking for ones with decent momentum coming off announcements. The premarket gap scans I’m running have been picking them up good and from watching what some of the others have done recently after coming off good announcements they seem to be safe few day holds such as AMP, BXB, CHC, WTC etc. That’s why I think FPH should be ok on Monday cause it did good on Friday after the announcement so if it follows the same as the others I mentioned there’s a good chance it will be up again Monday although I could be wrong but I think it’s worth the hold. It’s been interesting looking at these ones cause never used to trade these sort before but they seem to be good. Wasn’t sure what WTC would do because it was such a high priced one but it kept powering up a few days in a row so gives a lot more opportunities by trading these types. I’ve set my rules so will only trade the ones that come within the parameters I’ve set cause they seem to be working. Might not be as many opportunities once the earnings season ends but should still be some every now and then. Anyway will be ready next earnings period to get into it and still got next week left of this earnings period to try and get a few more trades in. JIN and ING were two others that were great shorts yesterday but I just watched them to see if they would work and they did so on Monday will try and get onto them at the open if I see any ones that match my rules.

As for WTM just traded it as I would any other ones like I normally would. Liked that it broke out again and had ok volume/momentum (although it is a bit risky because it’s the 4th breakout on the daily chart and volume is getting a bit lower than the previous breaks so might not work). It’s a gold and copper in WA and VIC so is probably safe enough. Only got 10000 shares in it so if I lose it won’t be much. I’ll get over it haha. Thought I’d have a go at it although after about 3 breaks they do get riskier I think but APX has had about 5 breaks higher recently so they can keep going. Will find out on Monday I guess
