If it is cheaper than ammonia, or green ethanol, which it very likely will be then, I am sure they will figure out a way to deal with the graphite both practically and legally. Green methanol and ammonia, which are the only other options will be very expensive, but because shipping is so efficient and the cost of shipping in the final delivered product is just matter of cents, they can afford to pay much for for their fuel, and employ more expensive and complex engines system to use it. Nevertheless, they will choose the cheapest of the more expensive green alternatives, and LNG / Hazer could be the cheapest. Large amounts of graphite would be produced, just means the ships would become a mobile graphite production, storage and transportation facilities. But clearly processing the storing the graphite during the voyage would be a critical challenge, but made easier by the income generated from a valuable product.

And shipping companies business is setup to deliver cargo, not production of minerals/materials.

Have you ever heard of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading facility (FPSO) which are sometimes just converted tankers?

Shipping companies do heaps things things, dive support vessels, ROV support vessels, Cable lay and repair vessels, Pipe lay Vessels, Cruise Ships, Research Vessels, Wind farm installation vessels, Drilling vessels, etc. If there is a buck in it they will do it.
