I honestly couldn't tell you why the market does what it does, I've tried but it's simply not possible. I rather allocate my time to trying to finding stocks that are undervalued, than questioning those that are a bit too dear for me. IMO, it's really a case of right time and right place, there's a lot of luck at play. Academics like to throw around terms like efficient market hypothesis, but how many times have you actually seen the market behaving in a rational way?
