Firstly, I do not believe that M & G is our great knight. Secondly contrary to what you wrote, I would like to see (although I wouldn't be happy if it happens because I want to go mining, unless WM will do something foolish before that), XStrata or someone else coming out from the woodwork, and make a T/O offer at say $7 to $8 dollars, and then see how many holders will immediately fold their cards.
IMHO, that dreaded 50% plus one shares, will be soon filled up.
To say that 80% of the Shareholders will stick to WM, after M & G sold their holdings, is a little too much. Had you said that 40% or 50% would most probably stick with WM's recommendations, I would have believed it. But 80%, NO.
