I am not shocked.... when RMS has used the dividend as a carrot in corporate actions... i.e MGV (though in saying that, I don't actually think they plan to use the dividend in any move on SPR (the next dividend will be a different matter), because, it's simply too late to do so, RMS basically had MGV wrapped up by the time the dividend was paid).
Of course, RMS can afford it right now (but... I do think it has to be acknowledged that this is unlikely to be sustainable over the medium term. It's pretty much a Penny Dividend).
Crazy to think that for some holders, they might be getting a dividend the size of their initial purchase price..... ($0.04-0.05 cents oh so long ago).
Whoa... almost a 40-50 bagger. That... is a rare outcome.
