there were conditions attached to that proposed deal ..... decimation of Ukraines military leaving them helpless agaimnst any fure russ aggression and agreement not to make any arrrangement for security with any foreign power
putin wants control of Ukraine .....two and a half years of war have NOT accomplished that ...not gaoined even one of russias stated objectives
putin wants to get from Ukraine by negotiation (at some stage ) what he has NOT been able to get by warfare . That's why he called off negotiations presently ......Kursk has left him in a poor bargaining postion .......putin wants to be in a position to FORCE acceptance of his demands ......it is my belief that THAT was what was behind the Kharkiv offensive ....a strong bargaining chip that fizogged a bit......then Kursk really stuffed up that strategy
Ukraine will never trust russia .....one thing is certain .....that plan of putin to reduce Ukraines military will NEVER be agreed to ....nor should it !
