And they certainly won't in the US and Canada where Chinese EVs will suffer a 100% tariff.
Which is part of the reason Japanese and Koreans are keen on moving into Canada.
You're also incorrect that Canada necessarily means higher opex than other jurisdictions, especially for the same quality spod. It depends on the particulars of the deposit and ore processing. Your line of reasoning reminds me of Kev attempting to argue that NAL (float, thin contaminated veins) is the benchmark for Canadian opex. Either ignorant or dishonest.
The ex-China strategics need to diversity away from Chinese-controlled supply chain. This is why they seem desperate to buy into Canadian projects at a significant premium, eg FL and GT1. Winsome by contrast is a far better deposit and with far lower capital intensity.
