I don't give Lomborg any credit as I consider his comments to be plain sophist rhetoric. sugar coated populist seduction instead of critical analysis. but maybe I haven't listened with an open mind.
some of the anti-GW mobs turn me off with their statements intended to be taken as fact when theres no substance to their claims.
but theres absolutely buckets being poured into research for alternative energy solutions. what we now have is the most commercially viable options, able to be mass produced and constructed cheaply and quickly. this is why solar is the No.1 goto for energy. --- I have caution with wind and reject all efforts to far on tidal/wave energy. but this is what we have so far.
new tech will role up in due course to compete with wind and solar. energy storage has a remarkably wide range of options but Li batteries are the best sold despite the shortcomings.
but. "there is far too much politics involved in climate change, too many lies and manipulation of data and too much exaggeration of the risks and effects." is very true. goodness knows wtf gets into Dutton's brain. whatever gets in must rattle a lot when he shakes his head in confusion.
