Super is a good system that the rwnj's in the liberals have been trying to knacker and kill off since its inception. This is especially so by howard where he couldn't shovel middle class welfare out of the barrel fast enough.

The original system of compulsory contributions into a low tax environment to build a retirement pool is good. It is used in a lot of countries. Our stupidity, thank you little johnny h, is that we then pull it out as a pension with NO further tax. In fact even less tax is paid in pension phase.

I am firmly of the belief that when I draw a super pension that it be treated as taxable income when I receive it. Because of the small tax on contribution and during accumulation there is an argument for some tax concession treatment. But to make it totally tax free? That is for another discussion.
