Absolutely, I agree that many companies will reassess expansion plans (or even wind back current production) if prices stay where they are. But many is not all, and not every company needs a deficit to continue turning a profit. And that's where Chris Ellison is wrong. Many of the larger, low cost companies would probably prefer to increase their market share by crowding out the smaller players.
