Yeah some thoughts.
Firstly, I am not an accountant, nor am I a business owner, so I dont have much to add from those perspectives.
However, for what its worth, you have discovered (?) a metric and it's a "moving" metric and that must mean something. You have been driving in on this for some time and now you have some numbers to back it up.
Are you speculating? Maybe, but I am thinking its more about discovery and tells me the numbers in these accounts are difficult to fully comprehend when the business is emerging into new markets and new products - nothing is fully nailed down in a normal repetitive way.
Not sure if I am saying anything particularly enlightening - but I think you are.
