I think that religious folk would be better served if they see the connections between reality and scripture, rather than the other way around. I mean, everything is a result of Creation so everything is a miracle, it does not then need a layer of fantasy spread across it to make religious belief special. Reality is already special. Science is then the most pure form of the study of Creation.
God did not Create evil, nor did a demon or Lucifer or satan form in His presence. To imagine that any form of corruption could occur in the presence of God is a blasphemy, God is transcendent, above and independent of all other realities. There are no wars in heaven because heaven does not exist, there are no beings sitting on thrones with God because He is not any form of essence, being, reality that a human can conceptualise and He does not have a proper name, nor does He belong in some place, nor is He fixed by time, nor does He need a throne to sit upon.
Evil is the absence of goodness, it is not a force, it has no substance, it is what happens when ignorance exists or goodness is not present. The absence of goodness causes evil just as lack of food causes hunger.
