I bought RED and GCY around the end of 22 start of 23 ... not unhappy.

But a tale of two CEO's isn't it? RED / Vault's Luke T is reviled on HC ... I think the discussion overstates what a CEO does and undervalues what all the other employees do ... I guess fetishising the CEO suits CEOs because it helps to justify their huge pay. But the whole thing is a bit comic-bookish. Supervillain vibes.

SL gets the same treatment, only with a white hat. I am a pretty good prospector with a metal detector ... I rarely have a day where I can't find gold ... but the gold has to be there to find. SPR is going great partly because of SL and team, but also because the gold was there ... and gold is rare. Plenty of good teams don't find payable gold.

Here's the thing. If I am wrong about the one great man theory of company success, and wrong I often am ... . and SL is crucial to the future success, then we should be demanding to see that SL is keeping on top of his blood pressure, getting his exercise in, going easy on the gin, and reporting weekly on how the diet is going. Where is our due diligence on that score? Where is our risk management?
