The volume for the past two days is in the region or 150,000,000 shares.
?The Big Boys? have had to trump up the lion?s share of that figure?. in order to get the share price to drop 3.5 cents.
Well? good luck ?Big Boys? when you try to re- purchase the lion?s share of 150,000,000 shares CHEAPER?. and then, A GREATER NUMBER than your original holding.
In that scenario the art would be to avoid being trampled in the stampede, as each of ?the Big Boys? set about outwitting each other.
In a nutshell, it?s sheer optimism.
Conspiracy theories always abound when share prices drop ?? borne out of sheer disappointment from watching profits dissipate. Disgruntled shareholders need a reason behind the assertion ?someone?s ganging up on me?. Share prices fall when enough sellers, individually, want to exit for any number of reasons?. usually for profit taking?. or fear.
On the other hand I strongly agree share prices can be manipulated UPWARDS. This is so easy?. Ramping. In this case shareholders simply buy more shares, in conjunction with rumours. They too, take a risk that they don?t entice a disproportionate degree of profit taking.
Driving a share price down is quite a simple task?. just sell in bulk?. and in cahoots with a couple of other associates.
GETTING THEM BACK, IN LARGER NUMBERS, AND CHEAPER, IS THE TRICKY BIT.
