Short interest versus LYC share price: over/under 1-year charts.
The little bump at the end spans Aug 6 to Aug 26th and represents about 5M sold short shortly before the AR and 4M bought back immediately after. Looking at share prices (AUD$6 before; $7 after) that would be a quick loss of ~15% for Contrarians, aww shucks.
Current short sales are 102M (~10.9% of total float), and I guesstimate more than half are similarly underwater.
