l heard anecdotally that the athletes accomodation in Ballarat weren't going to have bathrooms because of the build time . The bathrooms were to be added later . This story came from a council person and was reported on ABC radio. l can't confirm how accurate the story is but it feeds in to your story . l also heard that a velodrome was going to be a temporary structure and was to be pulled down after the games.
This is exactly the madness and largess we need to call out .
lt seems that at some point some sensible people in Government stood up and got this shut down . Pity it cost us so much money .
l can only hope that oppositions all over the country use this example when presented with stupid government proposals .
