TXN first well, the Tyler ranch EFS 1H was completed perfectly, its been wire lined and then cased and cemented, absolutely no issue on the drill at all.

their second well, the teal ranch EFS 1H has encountered a 142 foot interval of EFS.

that indicates a pilot hole was drilled. they will now back up the well bore and drill out into the EFS via a sidetrack.

you have to drill this way in the EFS when your in terrain you hardly know, you need to nail the intervals right on. pilot holes are costlier, but they are entirely normal in these circumstances..

Hilcorp had a problem in more than one well, they have also used sub standard pipe and connectors and had plenty of problems in losing wells, and bad frac operations and also busted pipe issues, like many who use that cheap chinese steel.

txn have opted for superior steel and connectors..

wait for a result before comparing txn to other operators. you always encounter bad crews, or problems during a drill, but your really have to question why there is the need to use sub standard steel in wells and taking high risks like losing a well for the want of speedy completions.

i am happy with texons approach right now, and happy to wait for a frac no matter how long they are delayed.

imho if any delays are likely, they need to report that today.

if not we have to assume the frac is on the go as per their last report. from what i am hearing, their ideas on fraccing are exceptional..
