My interpretation from the recent newsflow is that management have already inadvertently displayed their preliminary metallurgy results.

If there was hope that there will be a significant ionic component to the REE deportment, then beneficiation would not be the strategy to take. Look at MEI and the classic Southern China examples of true IAC - none go for beneficiation prior to leaching as the economics of clay beneficiation don’t seem to stack up.

The recent announcement focussing on beneficiation via gangue removal as opposed to ore mineral concentration) further suggests that ore minerals are likely unable to be concentrated themselves, otherwise a monazite/REE phos float (/grav mag separation) would be attempted. This indicates fine-grained, and difficult-to-separate ore minerals which is the same problem that the vast majority of REE hopefuls in WA run into.

Like previous posts on this page, I’m very happy to be proven wrong upon the release of further news re mineralogy and metallurgy. Undoubtably there is a very large amount of REE at Jupiter, but that doesn’t mean much without a pathway to extraction
