The question is who has that sort of money? - most families in that situation couldn't afford the treatment costs, so who pays?
Health Insurance doesn't normally cover this sort of treatment as far as I am aware - not sure about national health schemes, subsidies etc but it puts most of the load on affected families to come up with the money!
I hope no one misses out if they come up with an effective treatment to ease the miseries of these poor boys and their families!
