Once you understand that the GBR is a living organism you will also understand that living organisms reproduce and die.

That's how the cycle of life works so everytime you go into a mad panic that some coral has died you will be relieved to know that other coral is born. That's why the GBR is 2300 klms long and thrives mainly in warmer waters.
