''Look back over a million years and its an even more accurate view of climate''

    that's 100% correct --------------- it is

but, what people who deny any problems with climate miss is that ------------ post Neolithic Revolution and CERTAINLY post industrial age

but most most most most certainly - in the modern era where we have mega cities, fully connected - electricity, internet totally dependent societies with extensive road, rail networks etc -----------

what the deniers miss is that the vagaries of climate and weather from say pre Neolithic Revolution ---------- is VASTLY different and difficult to manage now

pre Neolithic Revolution ------- if you had some kind of SLR - you could just move up the hill a bit - and she's ok

or if you got a warming period and it got too hot - you just move a bit

or if you got a little ice age - you buggered off south a bit or dropped down the mountain a bit

now ----------- if you get SLR ------------ how easy do you think it will be to move mega cities away from the coast - up the hill a bit??

there's roughly - about 300 million people who live in coastal mega cities atm

there's about 900 million who live in low lying coastal cities

there's a little over 2 billion who live within 100km of a coastline

    - imagine moving that lot

or when the AMOC stops - which it will - that's beyond debate - and when? - not long -

how do you think we'll cope with the massive freezing up of conditions in the Nth hemisphere?

just move south a bit - like our stone age mates?

right ------------------ we wait to see how that happens in billions eh?
