People are voting for the Greens in steadily increasing numbers mainly because their participation in elections makes the contest more than a banal contest of management teams. They're also voting for them because they find the policy suite broadly appealing. Love them of loathe them, everyone knows what the Greens stand for? What does the ALP Right stand for? What do the 'dry' Liberals stand for? You certainly won't find the answer in their respective party constitutions.
I honestly cannot comprehend why anyone apart from lobbyists and major party operatives would not want the inclusion of more viable, professional parliamentary forces in our democracy, beyond the ALP and the Coalition.
