you seem to not grasp that aussie houses came from European ideas
why are Oz houses not the same quality?
I suggest it's because Oz was started as a convict dumping ground - a temporary thing and everyone expected to go back home eventually - why build properly - build cheap and quick
and that's the way it's gone on.
I lived in a queenslander in queensland btw ----------- they aren't 'that good'
I'd die if I were in a Brisbane summer in a queenslander today
