any research on how much warming this caused? Correlation with temp measurements doesn’t mean causation, but it does look like an outlier. But the 2016 and 1998 were too. 1998 was El Niño I think.
I had a Google and the only estimate I’ve seen was .05 to .06 C, about 1/10 of the current anomaly, lasting 2-3 years.
and does water vapour in the stratosphere have the same effect as in the troposphere?
