    This has been tried before the 1967 war, the UN had a peacekeeping force between Israel and Egypt which were ordered to leave by Nasser. The had no backbone and just walked away without even trying to stay.
    Nasser made it very clear it was his intention to wipe Israel off the map but unfortunately for him he mis calculated and lost.
