    Agree with most of what you say - mother nature has a way of balancing things out, as it has done for billions of years during which time the climate has changed for better or worse in just about every corner of the earth. That's probably why Homo Erectus moved out of Africa and supposedly to every corner of the world - to either eat, avoid being eaten or for shelter. If one believes in the evolutionary nature of mammals then Homo Erectus evolved into the various other Homo species and those that best adapted to the climates they encountered lived to populate and thrive in those climatic zones. One could argue about the different sub species of HE but the fact remains that adaptation was, and still is, the key to survival.

    We are experiencing another ''Out of Africa'' moment
