We are hostage to short-term-thinking vote-catching politicians who have no forward vision at all.

In fifty years from now, nuclear generation will be as common here as coal is now. The stalling is just costing money. Wind and solar will never be anything more than expensive diversions.

And the waste and loss of water going on at this time is almost criminal. There is a flood event going on with colossal quantities of water just running out to sea. Its just unintelligent to tell me to save water, while refusing to do anything to harvest the free flowing rain water.

What is happening in rural eastern Australia today is not being reported in the city press. Major dams are spilling vast quantities of water. Towns on the Macquarie river system probably have ten year's supply of water now stored, but there are many places that have no dams, and will soon be back to restrictions. How spectacularly dumb is that?

Build nuclear power station and more dams. If we don't do it now, it will still have to be done in future at much higher cost. There is NO alternative, and it makes a whole lot of sense anyway.
