our 'relationship' culture is certainly changing moggs. white weddings, regardless of mutual virginity were all the go... even when the woman was obviously pregnant. now we've got so accustomed top being divorced that the "until death do us part" is no longer an issue. I saw how my mates parents separation and divorced once the kids had left home. an I found the conflicts so wore down the love that monogamy was eventually seen as something to be recognised as passé, obsolete, an unnatural expectation which for many results in miserable lives for both parties.

my current partner and I 'married' by changing our names to show we were together, married. we've been together 17 years now and both very content.... but that comes more easily in latter years.

love is the driving factor in successful relationships. the passion for sex with a given partner is not enough to hold people together when the going gets rough. my ex- got bored and frustrated with me doing F/T studies and working too hard to keep the income coming in. sex can be found anywhere it seems, even over the road. its no substitute for love.
