Yep and tbh I’m not sure what is going to act as a handbrake on this total panic capitulation across the entire sector, except for:

A genuinely material C&M announcement (which has not happened this entire cycle so far). Needs something like a a MIN, SYA or LTR c&m.

Or

A couple of major brokers to shift their sentiment on PLS simply because they think it’s oversold (which could help it at least trade sideways and form a bottom rather than down).

But tbh, I don’t think point 2 can happen until point 1 happens.

Stopping this from happening are some directors with monumental egos who think they’re each Nostradamus. If they just continue maintaining their pride and refuse to cut production or to go into c&m, then the downside looks potentially horrific as you say.
