it'll be interesting to see where Tesla goes with cars in the future

China is really powering up in the market - and my guess is that China will build superb cars after a while

kinda usual story - like the early days of Hyundai and I think it was Kia

I remember passing by a TV back in ??? 98 or 99 - around then, and a friend was watching - I think it might have been the Bathurst race -

and there were Hyundai's and Kias dropping like flies, they sure couldn't cut the mustard then

but, Hyundai went on to be makers of some cars that just went and went and went - hundreds of thousands of kilometres, problem free, cheap as chips to run.

Now we see cars like the SUV Genesis -- of all the SUV's about - I'd probably go for one of them over Merc or BMW, or AUDI, or VW or the French ones -------- I do like Audi, but the Genesis - wow. And I guess, still loads cheaper than the German ones.

China will do the same trick IMO. It's not like going onto Amazon and buying some kind of Chinese solar panel or controller - where it's dammed hard to know what the quality is really -
with cars - they build a following - and you know what you're buying.

Unless Tesla goes full on made in China - I think it'll be up against it.
