I just did my own calculation of book value for PLS based on equipment, infrastructure (50c) cash (53c) and resources ($1.13)and arrived at a figure of $2.16
Just noticed, however, that book value for PLS in '24 on the commsec site is actually $1.08
I can see how they would get such a figure if you included just equipment, infrastructure (50c) cash (53c) and did not include some calculation for the resource base.
So my question then is "Does anybody know if resources and reserves are included in a valuation of a mining company?"
I can't seem to see it on any of the financial statements and I think it should be.
Further more if I have done other calculations that show PLS is breaking even at current prices ie $669 - 5.3% (current price for Aussie spod is $770 - 6%)
My second question is " as the company is not making any money from producing spod then does that make our resources and reserves worth nothing?"
