Importing gas via PKIT is still an exercise in jawboning IMO...

Will it comes from Gladstone? I doubt it, would require Japan, Korea, China, or Shell to give up contracted gas. Santos would redirect via Moomba or Longford to NSW so PKIT wouldn't be needed.
Will it come from the offshore producers on NWS? I doubt it. NWS exporters are under pressure to honour their 15% WA domestic commitments, so where is the surplus to send to NSW? WA domestic producers are not eligible to export gas as this point, so they can't support PKIT. WA domgas policy dictates that onshore production is reserved for the WA domestic market.
That means importing from overseas which I agree is ludicrous. But, when the unit cost as loaded with transport, regassification costs, and a profit margin for Twiggy, nobody is buying at that price.
Until Twiggy's FSRU leaves Egypt, PKIT remains a white elephant.
