I have been reading many negative posts about SYA and the BOD on this forum. I am also very stressed about continuous falling share price. However, I try to look at bigger picture as a long term holder. I believe that BOD decided to keep producing with the following reasons after reviewing the option of C&M since last AGM.
1. We know that interest rate cut will be announced sometime this month and more cuts this year and next year. This may help with increasing EV sales when people buy cars under finance in the US. This may increase lithium price with higer demand of EV batteries.
2. Lithium refined in China cannot be used in the US due to IRA and FEOC from next year. Also, Biden administration will support lithium price which was crashed by overflow of supply from China

3. Lithium mined and produced in the US and Canada will have premium price due to AMPC (Advanced manufacturing production credit) and IRA.
4. There are 34 battery factories operational within 3 years in the US. This means huge demand of lithium in the US

5. Many new affordable EVs will be launched this year and next year. This can increase the demand of EV batteries and lithium price.

add to these ev plans is the battery energy storage market in north america which is shown healthy growth and tesla announcement last week
