Absolutely unions are a big part of the problem. Unions are yet another minority group who control the Labor party. When I was much younger I thought the idealistic form of unions made a lot of sense. However after 40+yrs of working life, the reality is with all the corruption and poor decision making, it leaves unions (IMO) holding dubious value.
Labor is putting us into so much debt. Worst of all its wasting so much money - it all just scares the hell out of me.
We need like the majority of democracies in the world to make it non compulsory to vote. That way only the people who actually care about having a say will "vote". Far too many brainless votes from people who dont give a rats bum.
