so when you talk about holodomor, nationality matters. you single out ukrainians and pretend like nobody else suffered as a result of the country-wide famine that affected multiple regions and multiple ethnicities.
but when we talk about the people in power and their ethnical background, that doesn't matter all of a sudden. even though that it's their decisions that led to the disaster. and the decision making apparatus definitely included ukrainians, at the highest levels.
stop pretending like ukraine existed as an independent country before 1991. it didn't.
